▎Replace Fluids Timely
The first and most important step in seasonal maintenance is checking, adding, and replacing various fluids. Especially in the summer, when temperatures gradually rise, trucks should use lubricants with a higher viscosity coefficient to adapt to the changing environment.
▎Vehicle Surface Maintenance
Summer is rainy, and after heavy rain, trucks should be cleaned promptly. Failure to do so can easily lead to rust on the underside of the vehicle, which can damage the paint over time.
▎Wiper Maintenance
Wipers play a crucial role in summer downpours, so they require extra care and attention. Pull up the wipers and run your fingers over the rubber wiper blades to check for damage and the elasticity of the blades. If the blades are aged, hardened, or cracked, they should be replaced promptly.
Ignition System Maintenance
During rainy weather, a truck’s engine may have difficulty starting due to leakage caused by moisture in the ignition system. If this happens, first wipe the inside and outside of the distributor and wiring with a dry paper towel or cloth. Then, spray desiccant on the distributor cover, battery connector, spark plugs, high-voltage wires, and ignition coil. After a while, the engine can be started.

1. Regularly expose your truck to sunlight.
When the weather clears, park your truck in the sun for a while. Open the windows to allow for air circulation. The heated truck body will quickly dissipate accumulated moisture.
2. Exercise caution when driving through flooded roads.
Although trucks have higher chassis than passenger cars, it’s important to avoid standing water when driving to reduce the risk of water damage.
